Funky Mood

  • Mood: Funky
  • Music: Rain Down- Delirious?
  • Reading: Just plain cold!
  • Verse: Pj's

LOL! I am in such a funky mood! I feel like bouncing off the walls! I haven't felt quite like this in a while. LOL... I think maybe I had to much sugar?

Oh? Have I surprised you? Yes, I am a normal teens that gets terribly hyper!!! I need to spend a night at Eui's house and get all my hyperness out! LOL! It would be nice to have all the girls over... Autumn and Lily and Eui and Melinda and Alora.

It's so difficult not having Abby... mucho different... and hard... I miss her terribly!

I know that I'm going to miss TT this week... that will be hard... it's what movtivates me alot of time during the week. But I'll go to college day... and enjoy it... It will be nice to see some friends from camp. Because they will be there... and nice to spend time with the Curtises! I am so nervous though... I've said it only a couple time to my parents... but I'm terribly nervous. And if it was up to me I wouldn't go.

Sometimes such stupid little things make me nervous! Where is the confidence I speak of? I need to spend time in prayer over it... I mean I have and I get a peace about it... but then I take it back. I just must give it to the Lord and keep it in His hands. Your prayers would be much appreciated!

I sent out my application today... a little later than I wanted. I thought I was going to get it out on Friday... but it didn't work out. But as I sent it out I recieved a letter from Jill!!!! It was so nice to hear from her!! I believe I will write a letter back!! Tonight in fact! lol... Oh yes... Jill is Kat's mom... they live half the year in Florida and the other have in Maine!

Well off to wrie my letter! TA TA!!! May God Bless and Keep You!

Amused... oh so amused...

  • Mood: [rotlf] Amused-very amused!
  • Music: I will Remember-Everman
  • Reading: Snowy, and COLD!
  • Verse: blue jeans, and peach t shirt and jean vest

I've been in quite a funky mood today! I've been looking up some Quotes! And here are a few that amused me entirely!

"If there’s one thing I know it’s God does love a good joke. "

"The wit makes fun of other persons; the satirist makes fun of the world; the humorist makes fun of himself. "   (And only an amazingly honest and confident person can make fun of himself)

"Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die. " (oh how true! How many times do we laugh, when our friends trip? How many times do you laugh when YOU trip)

"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying that I approved of it. "

" I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him. "

"Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city."

"What can you say about a society that says that God is dead and Elvis is alive? "

"Laughing is the sensation of feeling good all over and showing it principally in one spot. "

"You can take all the sincerity in Hollywood, place it in the navel of a firefly and still have room enough for three caraway seeds and a producer's heart. "

"On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog. "

"Beware of too much laughter, for it deadens the mind and produces oblivion. "

"An intellectual snob is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of The Lone Ranger. "

"Opera is when a guy gets stabbed in the back and, instead of bleeding, he sings. "

"If you develop an ear for sounds that are musical it is like developing an ego. You begin to refuse sounds that are not musical and that way cut yourself off from a good deal of experience. "

"The place where optimism most flourishes is the lunatic asylum. "

Oh how the little things amuse me!

Oh by the way.... if you haven't read the entry that is called... "Don't be the Chrstian who runs around with his head cut off when Jesus comes" THEN READ IT...

I went back and read it and was very impressed with myself for getting out all my feelings so efficiantly... lol... oh how arrogant I am... but do read it...

Oh how wonderful our journey is. How wonderful it is to be amused in the little things! It makes our life interesting... and far more livable. Ahhh... yes I suppose that's why the Lord gave us humor... so this life we live could be interesting and fun... Thank you Lord for humor and amusment!

An e-mail I wrote to a friend....

Recalling our conversation at church services today...

You said "I will miss you when you go to college"

Ahh dear girl... read this verse I give you...

Luke 21:16
You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.

Meaning... your friends... your family... your relatives... EVERYONE will fail you... and betray you... We are only human!

I may leave you... and death may part you from the people that are closest to you... but there is one that will never leave you... one that will never forsake you or fail you... one who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24
"and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

Who do you suppose that is? Ahhh... think of this... Jesus is more fun than I am!!! He has more humor than I do.... he isn't a stick in the mud! He isn't all "JUDGEMENT WILL COME" oh no... he created us!!! He created HUMOR! He must be humorous than... ya know... I tihnk Jesus... when he was on earth... I bet he made alot of people laugh! I bet he used humor sometimes in his preaching!

Think of this line that Ken Davis said once... "Jesus said 'BEHOLD A TWISTED BRAIN, I thiNK I WILL GIVE IT TO THIS MAN' "

THEN... one day after a few yers... Ken grew up... and Jesus was looking down on Him and saying to his Angels... "ANGELS COME COME... COME SEE THIS STUPID GUY! HA! I'VE CREATED A TWISTED BRAIN" (a little paraphrased there)

you may miss me... but you have something better than my friendship! You have the friendship of the Lord... why not work on making that friendship stronger...

Think about this... how do you and I become closer? We spend time together... we talk... right? Well.... talk to Jesus... spend time with him to make your friendship closer!!!

Oh Another thing... that I recall we talked about...

Sleeping in services... ROFL... one time... one of the older ladies... she actually FELL ALSEEP DURING PASTOR'S SERVICE.... like EVERYONE knew too! It was absolutely hilarious! Though no one threw a song book at her like we joke sometimes.... but I'm sure many of us thought of it! lol... j/k...

but doesn't it help to pray about things? The Lord cares about even the little things... like helping us stay awake... or helping us find something... all we need to do is ask!!!

Luke 1:37 For with God Nothing shall be impossible!

Matthew 7:8
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Though sometimes the answer is no... it is an answer... and sometimes it's a yes.. and sometimes it's a wait... but we must learn to accept the answer... but with little things like this... we must have faith the Lord will answer and pray asking for his help...

With School
With staying awake
With not saying certain things
With being respectful
With everything you could think of

Nothing is to small or to trival for Jesus....

Lol... and on and on I go...

Must tell you something more though... When you decide to give your life to the Lord... he gives you things you never thought possible...

You may think me popular... oh far from it... I am not popular! NO ONE LIKES ME... lol... oh it seems like it when I'm with the homeschool group... and yes they adore me and I adore them... and you! But out side of our group... I am hated... lol... AND I'M OK WITH IT!!! Because it is not me they are hating  but they are hating my Savior!

You may think me confident... oh goodness... far from it... like I've said before I used to be shy! BUT NOW I"M CONFIDENT IN MY LORD! And this is what gives me the ability to speak to groups... and talk and talk and talk! lol... it's the Lord...

The closer you become to the Lord... he takes care of you... he knows the deepest desires of our hearts... and wants to make those desires into life!!! The better your relationship with the Lord... the better he can make his plan for you complete! And you are happiest when in the will of the Lord. BELIEVE ME!!!

My entire way of thinking has changed in the past six months only! lol... giving your life to the Lord only starts at salvation... but it goes far beyond that... Something I've written before....

"If your best friend gave you a beautifully bound gift, would you look at it, say thank you, then set it on the desk? Nevering opening it, just looking at it's beauty? That is what I did with the gift of salvation the Lord offered me. I accepted the gift, but I set it on a shelf in my room, only to look and admire it. Never to open it, and use what was given to me. I'm not the only one that has done this, so many call themselves Christians, but there gifts are still sitting on the shelf. Christian, once you accept the gift, don't set it down, open it, use it! Use it until it is old and rugged and falling apart, then use it some more!

I then opened my gift! After so many years of letting it sit on the shelf, I opened it, but I still wasn't quiet sure how to use my gift. I new how to use it partically, because I had heard the gospel preached so many times, yet I still had so much to learn."

that was part of my testimony...  I wanted to tell you this for a reason...

I know that you struggle with so many things...The answer to your self-confidence... isn't self-confidence at all... it's confidence in the Lord... and he will supply the rest!

You don't have to have popularity to be happy... all you need to be happy is the Lord. And the Lord will supply you with the friends you need.

Act yourself!!

Be willing... and the Lord will bless you... you don't need to have great faith... or great anything... all you have to do is be willing for the Lord to teach you...

Blessed is the person who can laugh and smile at oneself. Blessed is the person that realizes Jesus is the route to all self-confidence.

May God Bless and Keep You!
